Slack has introduced AI-powered note-taking features for its huddles.

These new features position Slack alongside competitors like Zoom and Google Meet, which already provide AI-powered meeting summarization tools.

Salesforce has introduced new AI-powered features for Slack, aimed at automating tasks like transcription and summarization. The highlight is Slack AI Huddle, which “captures key takeaways and action items, allowing users to focus on the work at hand.”

The feature automatically generates notes during meetings and conversations in Slack, potentially improving the meeting process and boosting productivity. When someone joins a huddle, Slack AI creates a transcript using real-time audio and messages from the conversation. It can also generate notes with links, tasks, and files displayed on the screen.

Anyone in the channel or direct message where the conversation started will be able to view the transcript and notes.

Slack has also enhanced its search functionality with AI, providing personalized results based on files and apps users have uploaded to the platform. This includes canvases, clips, transcripts, documents from connected apps, Google files, and more.

These updates bring Slack closer to competitors like Zoom and Google Meet, which already offer AI-powered meeting summarization features.
